"Hindu terror"

That is the new buzz in mainstream media these days. Apparently, investigative agencies believe that certain right wing Hindu groups may be behind Mecca masjid (Hyderabad) and Ajmer Sharif blasts. It seems picking up people with Hindu names for interrogation is proof enough of "Hindu terror" existence. This is more an effort to counter popular perception world over about Islam and its band of Jihadi terrorists taking innocent lives and causing much damage to property on almost every continent. Islamic terror is the name given to that phenomenon and it not without reason.

Islamic terror has entered every serious discussion across the world since 9/11 occurred. Attacks by Islamic Jihadis in India, US, France, Spain, Russia, China, indeed parts of almost every continent on earth has everyone taking of terror. And everyone believes it is Islamic terror. Reasons -

1. Every Jihadi quotes verses from Koran or orders from religious leaders to justify their attacks.
2. There is no dearth of Islamic religious leaders exhorting the faithful to wage Jihad in the name if Islam. They claim it is incumbent upon every Muslim to spread Islam all over the world and crush everything coming in the way.
3. There is also no shortage of Muslims willing to take up Jihad, sacrifice innocent people and themselves to spread Islam.
4. Muslim parents sending their children to wage Jihad can be found in plenty. They insist it is their duty.
5. Educated, well off Muslims who have spent significant part of their lives in western or non-Islamic countries have been joining the rank of Jihadis. Religion is the connection.
6. Almost every terrorist attack has been carried out by Muslims.
7. Jihadis also seek to threaten sovereignty of nations.

We have witnessed this for decades in India. The Indian Mujahideen sent lengthy e-mails quoting Koran to justify their acts. What other logical conclusion could be drawn in face of these facts? Yet "secularists" hesitate; indeed chide anyone mentioning "Islamic terror".

However, all of this is missing from "Hindu terror". Hindu political or religious leaders calling for terrorism? Absent. Sanction for terror in Hindu religious scriptures? Absent. Sanction for terrorism in Hindu society? Absent. LeT, HuJI, AQ like terror groups by Hindus? Absent. Existence of "Hindu terror" world over? Absent. And this despite suffering Islamic terror for decades in modern times. But, "Hindu terror" it is! If talking of Islamic terrorism hurts Muslim sentiments, wouldn't Hindus be upset too? This consideration is clearly missing and casts doubt on intentions behind this attempt.

And how do "secularists" support their claim? Sadhvi Pragya Thakur, Col. Purohit and other Hindus under investigation. It matter less if the charges have'nt been proven yet. On the contrary, the case against them has been weakening with every passing day. All attempts to find some terror connection to them have failed so far. It riles every "secularist" up to learn many Muslims picked up for interrogation are eventually let go for lack of evidence. However, they couldn't be bothered if Hindu connections cannot be proved and continue to be in jail. But attempts to sell the "Hindu terror" theory must continue. How else will "communal" vs. "secular" debate continue? How else will Muslims be portrayed as victims?

Non-news drown out real ones

Recent weeks have been no exception to the nauseating coverage of non-news that our Delhi based media seems to be so fond of. All the irresponsible hoopla can be termed as juvenile reaction at best. Editorial responsibilities have long been relinquished in favour of SMS polls and the OMG generation is transfixed.
While feckless journos spread panic reporting swine flu outbreak and wearing masks on TV and attributed unrelated deaths to the flu and also completely over blowing the magnitude of the outbreak, the UBS and the US reached a deal. The UBS agreed to co-operate with the IRS of the US in helping it go after illegal money hidden away in secret accounts. The IRS is seeking 52,000 names from the UBS to go after. Already, 5,000 names will be handed over to the US authorities. And the IRS tax net has widened to go as far as Hong Kong. Yet, such significant events are burried under hysterically drummed up issues. Why is India not doing something similar? Why is the GoI not asked to go after tax evaders? The manufactured panic over swine flu helped drown it out. Singh is still the King.
And if you were to believe our newsmen, a certain Hindi film actor being held for questioning at an US airport was an outrage worthy of diplomatic action. Never mind that it is hardly a case unique to this "celebrity". Many others have had to go through the same. Examples include, Ted kennedy, Bob Dylan, Irfan Khan etc. But the inaction, even on the diplomatic front, by the Manmohan Singh govt. over the Mumbai attacks by Pakistani jihadis seems to be fine. Loss of over 300 innocent lives in a terrorist attacks counts for much less than an hour of a celebrity detention. That's the real outrage.
And while all this allegedly "racist" saga was being hyped up on our TV sets, our "oppressed" "brothers" from the "religion of peace" were rampaging on Janmashtani, destroying Lord Krishna idols and attacking processions celebrating the day. It seems Hindus can never live in peace in their own land. This incidence involved Muslims, who are a majority in the Shahpur-Nagoriwad area of Gujarat, burning houses of the Hindus, pelting stones at them and causing much grief in general. Yet, national news cameras would not care to peep. Contrast that with the moral policing incidence of Mangalore. Social justice demands secular censorship.

Home is where Sharia is

Typical of the Islamists to not feel at home where Islam is under the scanner. It seems, assimilation is something they do not believe in. Every place they seek to inhibit must be turned to a Dar-Ul-Islam and no effort is spared until that is achieved. Apparently, tolerance, respect, understanding and accommodation in general only applies to the kafirs for the Islamists are the chosen ones by their Allah.
Geert Wilders' (see previous posts here and here) efforts at bringing forth the reality of Islam and its crusaders is bearing fruit in Europe. His party - Party for Freedom - is fast becoming popular. Recent opinion polls suggest his will be the largest party if polls were held now. And this growing popularity of an "anti-Islamist" is making the Muslims there queasy. They were quite happy so long as dhimmis apologised for them and Sharia courts were being allowed to function. After all, how can a devout Muslim stand anything that questions Islam?
Findings from the recent surveys of Dutch Muslims -

· More than a third of all
Moroccan-Dutch or Turkish-Dutch say they want to leave the country because of Wilders' growing
popularity, according to a Motivaction poll commisisoned by the current affairs programme Netwerk.
· More
than half (51 percent) say they are thinking more and more about emigrating.
· Three-quarters say they still feel at home in the Netherlands, but a
majority (56 percent) say they fell less at home because of the rise of Wilders' anti-Islam Party
for Freedom (PVV).
· The PVV won 16.9 percent of
the vote in the June 2009 European election, making it the second biggest party
in the Netherlands [
Link]
There's a reason conservative parties are winning seats and are on the rise in Europe (British National Party in the UK, Freedom Party in Austria). Back home, our political leaders bitten by the "secularism" bug would do well to understand this.

Look who's friends

The Taliban has friends in the ISI (not that no one had an idea).
Baitullah Mehsud, the brazen Taliban
chief based in Waziristan, has been able to escape several attempts to kill and
capture him because he has friends in Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence
(ISI) agency, according to a Newsweek report. [
Link]
And this is how Mehsud gives officials the slip -
An unnamed Pakistani official told
Newsweek that senior US officials had even shared with their counterparts in
Islamabad “some intelligence indicating that renegade ISI elements helped
Mehsud's group train for the December 2007 assassination of Pakistan's former
prime minister Benazir Bhutto”. But despite that and Pakistan's purported
knowledge of his whereabouts, “it's a puzzle why they're ignoring and avoiding
any strike against him,” one tribal elder in the region told the magazine. “On
several occasions over the past couple of years, security forces in Pakistan
have launched operations to kill or capture him, and each time he has vanished
without incident,” the magazine writes citing unnamed officials in Islamabad and
Washington. “Mehsud's contacts, the theory goes, are tipping him off before
Pakistani troops can pounce.” [
Link]
Now, with reports of some Talibani terrorists entering India, Mehsud's friend circle seems to be wider than expected.

Returning the favour

Not for nothing did the nation's prominent mainstream news editors win the various padma... titles. Their fierce protection of the warped secularism practiced in our nation has impressed their far from secular political masters. This favour meted out by the Congress lead government is more than being returned by the news hounds in this election (not that any other election is any different). Integrity has become redundant in editorial ethics.
Measurement criteria differ when it comes to the "communal" or "saffron" folks. While a doctored video (which took about 10 days to produce) is passed off as evidence of hate speech, actual hate speeches by patron parties do not have to pass the "secular" test. It simply is enough to belong to a convenient political party. National editors turn a blind eye over all that is inconvenient. Here are instances that will not make prime time debate or proportional to "communalism" coverage -
RJD chief Lalu Prasad on Monday said he
would have ‘crushed’ BJP candidate Varun Gandhi under a roller for his
anti-Muslim speeches if he had been the country's Home Minister. [
Link]
The Congress had organised a rally near
the Jama Masjid ground, supported by 23 Muslim organisations. While addressing
the largely Muslim gathering, Kidwai had allegedly said, “Main mufti nahin hoon
iska mujhe afsos hai, kyunki Mufti log hamare yahan fatwa de sakte hain. Aur
agar main mufti hota to sirk ek fatwa deta ki musalmaan ka BJP ke sath jana kufr
ke barabar hai. (I regret not being a cleric as only clerics can issue a fatwa.
If I were a cleric I would have issued only one fatwa that for Muslims to vote
for the BJP is a sin.)” [
Link]
Senior Congress leader and former
minister Kagodu Thimmappa, who had stirred the hornet's nest by allegedly
instigating partymen to 'chop-off the hands of Hindu chauvinists' in an election
campaign meeting recently, today charged that some vested interests had twisted
his statement. [
Link]
Mines Minister Sis Ram Ola has winked at the court judgement, transferred department Secretary Shantanu Consul, ignored suggestion of the nation’s Cabinet Secretary, paid no heed to his Cabinet colleague Ram Vilas Paswan’s claim that the national mineral company NMDC should have the mining right at Ramandurg and bulldozed his way through in granting mining right to the PSU trading company, MMTC, which has set up JV with a private company, India Bulls, with the steel czar LN Mittal as the ultimate beneficiary. And all these have been done when the model code of conduct has been in force and the Government led by Manmohan Singh is just a caretaker one. [Link]
A 45-year-old rickshaw puller was beaten
to death allegedly by an acquaintance and his accomplices when he objected
to
them passing lewd remarks at his daughter at Bawana in Outer Delhi on
Saturday.
Three of the accused have been arrested.
The tragic incident took place around 10
p.m. when Harpal went to meet his neighbour Rasool and warned him against
passing vulgar comments at his daughter. This led to an altercation between
them, following which Rasool and his friends allegedly beat up Harpal.

Police today imposed prohibitory orders
under section 144 at Kayathamaranhalli extension here, after a clash between two
groups last night, in which, many vehicles and houses were damaged.
Police
said today they resorted to tear-gas to disperse the warring groups. Two
Assistant Sub Inspectors and four constables, were among others, who were
injured in the incident.
Four temples were damaged. The miscreants also
attacked the house of the former Mayor H N Srikantiah and ransacked furnitures.

This blog chronicles the molestation and
abduction of Hindu
girls my Muslims in Bengal. [

I just returned from a month in India
during which time an incredible number of significant events were occurring. My
primary mission in going was to document and raise awareness of the ethnic
cleansing of Bangladeshi Hindus. I found plenty, including evidence of ongoing
attacks on them both in Bangladesh and in West Bengal, India. The border between
the two is so porous that terrorists and contraband move freely with and without
the help of India's Border Security Force or West Bengal police. But I also
witnessed the tragic beginning of the end for Pakistan's Hindus. Once one in
five Pakistanis, they have been reduced to one percent of the population.

In connection with indulging in rampage
in a banana plantation belonging to Babbukatte Nityadhar Church and trying to
disrupt peace in the region, Ullal policemen arrested seven persons on Wednesday
March 18.
They are Jayson Verghese (23), Vijit
Sunny Rozario (21), Araki Alfred (20), Roshan Cutinho (26), all from Nityadhar
Nagar and Ronald Roshan (22), a resident of Kuttar Prakash Nagar. They were
produced in the court on Wednesday.
On Monday morning, the banana plantation was found to have
been damaged heavily to look as if people belonging to a particular community
had barged into the plantation, and a saffron flag had been planted there,
signifying that Hindu outfits had been involved with the destruction. The
incident took place at a time when Hindu Samajotsav was being organized in the
city. [
Link]
The internet is replete with scores more of such incidents. Yet only the convenient ones get reported and debated.
One by one most of the Vadra family members have dropped dead. Mysteriously all of them died either in an accident or committed suicide. Something is clearly not right. But the CBI will not investigate them. Political masters will rein it in. And we will also not see national editors debating this. The media, we are told, only expresses public opinion. However, a majority seems to be excluded from the "public".

Telling it like it is

Paul Sheehan, a columnist for The Sydney Morning Herald sees something every dhimmi secularist fails to all around the world. The prejudiced "secular" mind is a prolific myth making machine. Outcomes are already decided and countless hours are dedicated in justifying them. "Secularists" couldn't be bothered with objective analysis, rather inconvenient facts are ignored so existence in denial can continue.
What about proving that Islamophobia
exists at all? That would be the logical, ethical and scholarly starting point. But it appears the outcome has already been decided. This would
fit the prevailing orthodoxy in academia that the default position for
Muslims in Australia is victim.
The jargon, "Islamophobia" is part of
this ideological construct. Literally, it means fear of Muslims. [
Link] (Emphasis added)
Actually, the Muslim victimhood theory is prevalent all around the world, not just Australia. Our own PM, Manmohan Singh seems to think so. So pained is he at the plight of Muslims in India that he awarded them the right to lay claims on our national resources before anyone else. Every "secular" discussion or column in our news media applies this theory when talking of "social justice". Highly typical of the "secular intelligentsia". However, they seem to forget that it is their same patron "secular" party that has ruled our country for over 5 decades since our independence.
A look at reality presents a completely different picture -
On March 8, the night of the Sydney Gay
and Lesbian Mardi Gras, police say a group of about 100 young Muslim men,
allegedly members of a loose gang called MBM - Muslim Brotherhood Movement -
moved through the centre of the city intimidating, harassing and beating
bystanders.
On March 15, Abdul Darwiche was murdered,
shot to death in a shopping centre in the latest hyper-violence involving two
warring Lebanese Muslim clans.
[...] Channel Nine obtained a copy of a
video surveillance tape which shows the former mufti of Australia kicking in a
door, then returning soon after in the company of police. Apparently he called
police over vandalism which he committed, blaming others who are engaged in a
power struggle at the mosque [...]
A few days later, yet another rape
sentence was handed down to one of the K brothers, three of whom, during their
various trials for gang rape, claimed they were victims of an anti-Muslim
conspiracy. Between them, four K brothers have been convicted of gang-raping
five girls.
This sentencing followed closely on the
conviction of seven Sydney schoolboys for the aggravated sexual assault of a
13-year-old girl in a toilet block in Yagoona in 2007. According to police, the
ring-leader was on his phone speaking in Arabic during the assaults and most or
all of the boys are of Muslim background.
If this is so, these latest convictions
produce a morbid tally of more than 30 young Muslim men involved in serious
proven sexual assaults of non-Muslim girls in Sydney [...] Because sexual
assault is the least reported crime (about 15 per cent of incidents are reported
to police) this particular phenomenon was certainly much broader. [
Link]
This behaviour, the "secularists" would have us believe, is demonstrated by "oppressed victims". Non-Muslim girls in our own country are suffering the same crimes and far worse fate than reported above. The magnitude, again as noted in the report, is bigger than apparent because of the nature of crime. Apparently, Jihad can be waged in ways not necessarily involving guns/bombs. Social costs prevent majority of rape victims from actually reporting them. This, somehow, escapes the "secular" radar. However, the advocates of "social justice" howl to their capacity should the "communal forces" raise these issues.
Our media seems to cover its spectacular failure is putting things in the right perspective by raising enough non-issues to drown out the real ones. There is a need to tell it like it is.

Islam takes over UN

The charade that began as an innocuous sounding measure to counter "defamation of religions" is ending on being Islam specific.
A new U.N. resolution circulated today by Islamic
states would define any questioning of Islamic dogma as a human rights
violation, intimidate dissenting voices, and encourage the forced
imposition of Sharia law.
UN Watch obtained a copy of the Pakistani-authored
proposal
after it was distributed today among Geneva diplomats
attending the current session of the UN Human Rights Council. Entitled
"Combating defamation of religions,"
it mentions only
Islam.

While non-binding, the resolution constitutes a
dangerous threat to free speech everywhere.
It would ban any perceived
offense to Islamic sensitivities as a "serious affront to human
dignity" and a violation of religious freedom, and would pressure U.N.
member states -- at the "local, national, regional and international levels" --
to erode free speech guarantees in their "legal and constitutional systems."
[
Link] (Emphasis added)
So, how does this resolution concern human rights, when religion is a belief, remains unexplained. It gets very tricky when dealing with defamation to religion -
The law on defamation protects the reputations of
individuals, not beliefs. It also requires an examination of the truth
or falsity of the challenged remarks
-- a determination that no one,
especially not the UN, is capable of undertaking concerning any religion.
[
Link] (Emphasis added)
Ask any Mullah and he will tell you Koran is the ultimate truth. Objective criticism of Islam now is well nigh impossible.
Follow the link and read it in full. It also carries the draft of the UNHRC resolution on the matter. It does not seem to occur to the UNHRC that in adopting this resolution, it is trampling on the human rights it proclaims to protect. India should get out of the UN, now.

"Engaging" the wrong people

What do general Pakistanis think of the US aggression against terrorists? See below (via The Acorn) -
-- Do you see drone attacks bringing
about fear and terror in the common people? (Yes 45%, No
55%
)
-- Do you think the drones are accurate
in their strikes? (Yes 52%, No 48%)
-- Do you think anti-American feelings in
the area increased due to drone attacks recently? (Yes 42%, No
58%
)
-- Should Pakistan military carry out
targeted strikes at the militant organisations? (Yes 70%, No
30%)
-- Do the militant organisations get
damaged due to drone attacks? (Yes 60%, No 40%)
[Link] (Emphasis added)
And these opinions are right from within the FATA. Liberation from terrorists and freedom from the Ummah is what they want. Leader of the free world (a.k.a. President O) is "listening" to and "engaging" the wrong people. So are we at home. The resentment against the West and all "infidels" is largely only amongst the warmongering Islamists. Their sole interests are furthering Islam and establishing Sharia. Talking to Islamists is hardly going to give us any "hope" for "change" in their attitude towards us. Swat is an example of what entails when we cede space to them. Contrary to Zaradri's claims, the Taliban is growing stronger.

Sharia spreading under the garb of "multiculturalism"

Courts around the world are giving in to Islamists. They seem unwilling to take on the freedom challengers and hope incorporating Sharia will placate them. This is a monumental folly. The free world continually fails to realise what the Islamists stand by. Nothing short of a global Sharia implementation will gladden the "true of Muslim faith". Rallying crowds holding placards that proclaim "Islam will reign supreme" or "Islam will rule the world" are not being humourous. They similarly proclaim "Death to {insert non-muslim country name here}" and are serious about it.
Sharia is now spreading thick and fast across (an increasingly dhimmi) Europe. We have seen the Geert Wilders case earlier. Now Italy and France join the ranks of dhimmis.
In the first trial, the three were
sentenced for sequestration and bad treatment. The court acknowledged
that the teenager was "brutally beaten up" for having "dated" a non-Muslim and
in general for "living a life not conforming with the culture" of her
family.
But on appeal, the family was acquitted because the
court deemed that the young woman was beaten up for "her own good."
The
Bologna public prosecutor's office then disputed the acquittal of the three
accused parties, but the Italian Supreme Court of Cassation dismissed it and
ruled in favor of the charged parties. [Link] (Emphasis added)
Girls apparently want to flee into France. But do they have any hope there?
Indeed in one very publicized case, last
June, a French judge ruled in favor of a Muslim man who wanted the
annulment of his marriage because his wife turned out not to be a
virgin.
What this decision amounted to was the endorsement of the
repudiation concept. [Link] (Emphasis added)
No they don't. Sharia follows them there too. And apologists do not get it.
In Switzerland [...] an anthropology
professor at the Fribourg university wrote that a special jurisdiction for
Muslims could be envisioned in Switzerland. He added that including elements
from Islamic law could allow to better manage the multiculturalism issue. [Link] (Emphasis added)
There, that word again. Curiously, multiculturalism seems to accommodate only the Muslims, while every other immigrant group must adapt and assimilate. Where the "secular" champions fail, this British Muslim MP gets it right.
[...] Sadiq Khan, a British Muslim MP
said that Sharia courts would discourage Muslims from developing links
with other cultural and ethnic groups.
He feared also that women could be "abused" by Sharia courts, which may give
unequal bargaining power to the sexes. [Link] (Emphasis added)
Thus allowing the Muslim "isolation" and "segregation". Precisely the same Muslim "grievances" giving fodder to the Ismalists. It is baffling that rather than listen to reformed Muslims, the "secularists" insist on appeasing the Mullahs. Conceding to them is pushing the Muslims deeper into their grips. Giving in to Sharia is giving up our freedom.

Jihad ‘in an organised manner’

That was the latest call by Taliban (see previous post). And sure enough it is being waged quite systematically. We have seen earlier, how Islamists have succeeded in curbing our freedom by petitioning a measure curbing 'hate speech' at the UN. The real intentions behind this measure, however, remain something else. The same plans are at play in the UNHRC. The previous UN conference at Durban, in August 2001, on the matter gives us enough clues -
DurbanI was a notorious hate-filled gathering that
devolved into one of the most racist and prejudiced meetings in the UN's
history
. Its anti-Semitism and anti-Israel agenda and
hysterical crowds of extremists still send shudders of horror through the
corridors of human rights organisations. This is why many nations, especially
from the West, are considering boycotting Durban II which, like Durban I, is
likely to become a platform for anti-Semitism and anti-Western xenophobia and hatred.
[Link]
(Emphasis added)
So much for an "anti-racism" conference! What began as a noble sounding cause soon morphed into an occasion for furthering Islamic interests. Very peculiar of the Islamists. What is their real agenda?
Using the catch-all phrase of Islamophobia, the OIC is attempting to deny
nations the right to criticise extremism and violence. [Link]
The all encompassing "anti-racism" has now become "Islamophobia"! The second round is set to begin in Durban on April 20. And the draft, this time, makes no attempts at hiding its intentions -
"Calls for ... the international
protection of the Palestinian people throughout the occupied Palestinian
territory." [Link]
Deduction: Israel is the aggressor and racist. So, Pakistani Ambassador Masood Khan was serious in seeking a "new instrument or convention" to achieve intended goals. After having realised the nefarious plan behind this measure, Israel, Canada have decided on boycotting the conference and a number of European nations are quite rightly concerned about the UNHRC legitimising this Islamic agenda. But, the council is only trying to be 'secular'. Instances of genuine violations escape its radar -
..genocide in Darfur; child soldiers in
Chad and Congo; compulsory sterilization of women in China; suppression of
dissent in Cuba, Iran, Syria and Russia; rape as a political weapon in Zimbabwe;
sex trafficking in Asia; denial of human rights to minorities and women in Saudi
Arabia and other Arab countries.. [Link]
However notices are promptly issued to Israel for responding to Islamic terror. President O's failure to realise the games at play exposes his inexperience. For all the hope he sold in bringing 'change' to America, this is anything but encouraging -
But when the Palestinian delegation laid
their new proposal before the drafting committee, what did Obama's team do?
Nothing, absolutely nothing. They made no objection at all. [Link]
His administration, in fact, 'shares their reservations'. Anti-Semitism and holocaust denial is continuing in the UN without the hitherto US objection. In his eagerness to 'reach out' to the Muslim world, President O is sending out wrong signals. Another dhimmi in the making -
His foreign policy of engagement amounts
to a new willingness to sacrifice Israel and an indeterminate number of American
values for the sake of a warm welcome from the enemies of freedom. [Link]
An 'organised jihad' is indeed on and we are in denial.

One way street

Sharia and radical Islamists are gaining foothold and the leaders of free world fail to see that. In their attempt to come across as friendly and to appease the Muslim world, they are committing some grave mistakes that could well be irreversible. Limiting free speech was recently made legitimate. And now, Sharia is being granted legal status. Our leaders are capitulating in the face of Islamic aggression rather than defend freedom.
Islam is a one way street. Once a Muslim, always a Muslim.
FREEDOM of religion as stated in Article
11 (1) of the Federal Constitution does not cover Muslims who wish to convert at
any time.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz
said Muslims who wish to renounce the religion would need to obtain an order or
declaration from the Syariah Court, which has the jurisdiction under state
Enactments of Islam. [Link]
While it is all well, indeed the religious duty, of a Muslim to convert the 'infidels' and wage jihad to further Islamic interests, there is no religious sanction for a Muslim to renounce his faith. He is locked in forever.
“The judgment in the case states clearly
that a Muslim cannot renounce the religion as he wishes. If such freedom is
given to Muslims, this will affect the status of Islam as the official religion,
as stated in the Federal Constitution,” he said. [Link]
That was Malaysia. Similar is the case with Pakistan which is an Islamic state and jihadi education has been institutionalized. Intolerance of the 'kafirs' and demands for Sharia are but the natural outcome.
If history is any indication, this exercise of trying to 'reach out' to the Islamic community is futile. Besides, Sharia is patently undemocratic. Once it is sanctioned, democracy is lost. We have seen what Sharia did in Afghanistan when the Taliban ruled. We are seeing what it has started doing in the Swat region. Having tasted success, the Taliban now wants to globalise jihad -
The Taliban in Waziristan announced
forming a ‘Shura Ittehadul Mujahideen’ (Council of United Mujahideen) on Sunday
to wage jihad ‘in an organised manner’.
Pamphlets distributed in the Miranshah
Bazaar and other areas of the agency headquarters said the forces led by Mullah
Muhammad Omar and Osama Bin Laden were fighting against ‘infidels’ led by US
President Barack Obama, Pakistani President Asif Zardari and Afghan President
Hamid Karzai. [Link]
Every jihadi has cited Koran as his inspiration -
They quoted verses of the holy Quran
calling people to fight a holy war against ‘infidels’, who they said were
killing innocent Muslims. [Link]
However, Mullahs would like us believe Islam is a religion of peace. And our 'secularists' perpetuate this myth. Within our own borders, we are witnessing a growing allegience to the global jihad. Worldwide 'Islamic brotherhood' finds more resonance among Indian Muslims who increasingly see themselves as part of a 'Muslim world'. Grievences have shifted. Victimhood is morphing into dreams of reclaiming some mythical 'Islamic glory'. History, apparently only begins from where they want it to.
Talking to Sharia professing representatives can never achieve anything that is hoped for. This realisation seems to be lost on our leaders of the 'secular' variety. The Islamic leadership is unanimously clear in what it aims for, jihad is legitimate and 'infidels' must be conquered, yet our heads remain buried in sand.
Eulogizing radicals, throwing millions at the them, approving of Sharia and engaging closet jihadis in discussions renders it impossible to reform and assimilate Muslim society into the modern world.

Dhimmitude taking over the world

Just a couple of days before Mumbai was attacked by rampaging jihadis, a consortium of 57 Islamic states were successful in lobbying the UN to pass a measure on "Combating Defamation of Religions". It was passed with a 85-50 vote with 42 abstentions. Check the link to see how various countries voted. And what was the motive?

Passage of the resolution is part of a 10-year action plan
the 57-state Organization of the Islamic Conference launched in 2005 to ensure
"renaissance" of the "Muslim Ummah" or community
. [
Link] (Emphasis added)
It is not Islam specific or binding at the moment, but is part of a greater plan as seen in the above comment and below -

[...] religious tolerance advocates warn
the resolutions are being accumulated for a more sinister goal.

[...] Pakistan's Ambassador Masood Khan
reminded the UN's Human Rights Council this year that the OIC ultimately seeks a "new instrument or convention" on the issue. Such a measure
would impose its terms on signatory states. [
Link] (Emphasis
added)
The dhimmis in the UN fail to realise that this is another attempt at curbing free speech and will have serious ramifications. Individuals already enjoy protection under human rights. That ought to be enough, granting protection to religion is a validation of its "truth". We have already seen how Islamists, every other day, invoke the "hurt to our religious sentiment" argument against even an objective observation of Islam. This UN resolution gives the intolerant Islamists even more fodder. The doors even for peaceful speech, expression, forget any criticism, will now be firmly shut. Any critical look, indeed even an attempt at such, will now be denounced as "demonizing" Islam. It is this inward looking tendency and nonacceptance of any questions on Islam or any aspect of it that has led to the extreme intolerance amongst Islamists. Besides, it is highly hypocritical of the Islamists and their apologists to scoff at non-Muslims as "infidels" while not being open to any criticism of Islam.

Apologists fail to, rather do not want to see the direction in which "Muslim brotherhood" is headed. The same charade continues, Islam is peaceful, radicals are misguided while it is the Islamic religious leaders and holy teachings themselves that are a source of inspiration to the various extremist organisations terrorizing the world.
(Geert Wilders. Image from here)

And assault on free speech is already on. Geert Wilders (also see earlier post), the Dutch politician who speaks out against Islam is already facing consequences. For making a movie on Radical Islam, Fitna (see it here), and attempting to raise awareness about the serious consequences, Wilders is paying a price. Rather than face the truth and realise the dangers facing the European region today, this is what the Dutch courts do -

On 21 January 2009 the Court of Appeal in Amsterdam ordered
the criminal prosecution of the member of parliament Geert Wilders for the
incitement to hatred and discrimination based on his statements in various media
about moslims and their belief. In addition, the Court of Appeal considers
criminal prosecution obvious for the insult of Islamic worshippers because of
the comparisons made by Wilders of the islam with the nazism. [

So much for making the world face the reality! It is Islamic leaders and the Mullahs that propagate hostility towards "infidels" and Wilders gets the rap for spreading hatred! He is currently fighting the legal battle and will need support. If you can, kindly donate on his website.

Wilders was scheduled to screen his movie at the House of Lords in Britain this week. But when dhimmitude has permeated to such a level that it is now begging jihadis not to attack the UK, Wilders never had a chance of making it there. He is being held in detention at Heathrow and will be deported back.

And India has a long history of dhimmitude itself. Time and again our institutions, laws, people have had to bend over backwards in deference to the "true of faith" and "religion of peace". Shariah must be upheld, no matter how unjust it may be. Law of the land be damned!

It is no coincidence that the Ummah lobbied the UN to curb free speech. It is now a handy, effective and legitimate tool to pull down every criticism. It will also give cover to the "misguided youth". Rather than guide the "misguided", it is the "infidels" that get chastised for holding mirror to the Islamists. Political correctness is a trap that will sink us "infidels" pretty soon. India must think again about being in the UN.

Secularism is myopic

The editor and publisher of a top English-language Indian daily have been arrested on charges of "hurting the religious feelings" of Muslims. [Link]
More than 20 people, including four policemen, were injured in a clash that broke out when police tried to clear Lenin Sarani where Muslim agitators had put up a road block for four hours in protest against an article published in The Statesman a few days ago. Forty-four people were later arrested in connection with the attack on police and blocking traffic, said Mr Pradip Chattopadhyay, joint CP (administration). [Link]
A certain young girl who was seduced to have sex with a man of 26 years killed herself to hide her shame on Tuesday night. The incident occured in a place called Maroor in Mulky police limits. According to a complaint lodged by one Jaya Moolya two girls were lured by one Saleem aged 26 and taken to a seculded places in Maroor. Some elders who caught the man in a compramising condtion along with the girl handed over the girl to the Moodbidri police station while the man Saleem escaped. [Link]
The cracking of the Bangalore serial blasts case has confirmed security agencies' claims about Lashkar-e-Tayiba's links with the dreaded Indian Mujahideen.
Interrogation of terror suspects revealed that they belonged to a terror module in Kerala operated by the Lashkar.
[...] The Lashkar finds the Kerala wing of the IM to be the most dedicated and hence has chosen its cadres for Kashmir.[Link]
There is report of a simmering tension in North Lakhimpur district as two Pakistani flags were seen flying in two interior areas on Wednesday. Confirming this, police officials told reporters that the name of Pakistan was clearly written in English in both the flags [Link]
A scrutiny of the diary recovered from the car of the two suspected militants gunned down in Noida late Sunday night reveal they were in constant touch with a few persons in Azamgarh and the NCR, police sources said.
[...] The surveillance so far reveals that Ali Ahmed and Abu Ismail, the alleged militants gunned in Noida’s Sector-97 after a brief gunbattle, were in constant touch with the Azamgarh duo. The police had yesterday claimed to have found two Pakistani passports from their car. Investigators suspect they initially stayed in Azamgarh for a while after crossing the border to India; later, they came to the NCR in a bid to sneak into the Capital. [Link]
The merger of Dawood Ibrahim's gang with the Lashkar-e-Toiba at the behest of Pakistan's Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) has Indian security agencies worried since the underworld gang will expand the ISI's reach in the country.
[...] Asked why the ISI had roped in the D-Company in LeT activities, the official said, "The underworld's penetration in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and parts of Kerala and Tamil Nadu is very deep. [Link]
Tears streaming down his face, his hands trembling, the man who allegedly led the serial bombing of Ahmedabad that killed 58 and injured over 200 last July claimed he was brainwashed and ensnared into doing what he did by radical Islamist handlers.
[...] If Kapadia is to be believed, his transformation from an ordinary Muslim youth with ordinary dreams and a loving family to look after to one of the country’s top Terror accused, is a tale of intense indoctrination.
It started with Kapadia, a deeply religious youth, meeting up with Sajid Mansuri, the SIMI hardliner and a qualified engineer who is also in police custody now for the Ahmedabad blasts. His journey to terror began in a closed little room in Vatva. [Link]
"In the Urdu textbook, children are told that infidels are cowards by nature and when a holy warrior attacks them, they scream with terror and fear," she (Dr. Rubina Saigol of Action Aid Pakistan) said. "Mujahideen are glorified as being on a mission from Allah and they are superheroes that kill Hindus and make infidels cower in fear," she said, referring from the pages of the textbook.
[...] "India is presented as an enemy and Saudi Arabia as a best friend. Kashmir appears as Pakistani territory forcibly snatched by Hindus and Pakistan as a country created only for Muslims." [Link]
There are many more. Where is the "secular" outrage? Such grave dangers facing our nation do not move your "progressive liberals" into starting a mass movement against them. The "secular" Congress is succeeding in taking over every democratic institution by planting its stooges. But the "secularists" will hijack public discourse and divert public attention on entirely inconsequential matters.

Manmohan Singh continues to be tentative

PM talks tough on terror, that probably is the oft repeated headline following each act of terror on Indian soil. Sadly though, it does not include the word 'acts'. In fact that has been true of Manmohan Singh throughout his tenure as the PM. He has failed to act on any matter of significance.
Talking at Parvasi Bharatiys Divas at Chennai, Singh had this to say -
‘‘We’ll continue to work with the international community to ensure there’re no safe havens and launching pads for terrorists,’’ the PM said while inaugurating Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2009 at the Chennai Trade Centre.
Repeated terror attacks, growing in frequency and intensity have only proven that India probably is as safe a haven for the terrorists, along with their overt and covert supporters, as Pakistan. With such as dismal record to show for himself, the PM's credibility is in tatters. But that does not stop him from pontificating the world on how terror must be dealt with.
Israel's response in Gaza is in sharp contrast to Manmohan Singh's response to Pakistan after it attacked in Mumbai. While Israel is committed to protecting it's citizens and sovereignty, Singh asks it to exercise 'restraint'. Much like he is being patient with the terrorists while our cities and citizens are being bombed away. Moreover, he goes on to condemn Israel when it clearly is acting to protect it's national interests. In his condemnation, he had this to say -
"It is our hope that the international community will come together to restore peace and normalcy," he said inaugurating the seventh edition of the three-day Pravasi Bhartiya Divas here.
However, this concern for peace and normalcy was lacking when bombs rained on Israeli soil. Singh did not seem to be bothered then. India can never dream of being superpower until it can protect it's citizens and interests. While war may or may not be the best option, lack of tough actions against Pakistan will only cast doubts on Singh's intentions. All this talk for being 'tough on terror' will be severely lacking in credibility until there actually is some action. There were a host of diplomatic measures that could be initiated against Pakistan. Recalling our High Commissioner, reviewing trade, denying access to Indian air space are some. Yet, over a month since the Mumbai attacks wrong signals continue to be sent by not exercising diplomatic retaliation. Experts and ex-officials have criticized this inaction.
Singh and the UPA continues to be timid, incoherent and spineless in guarding India's interests. The Indian electorate must take a lesson from Jharkhand voters and drive this alliance, that is hurting India, out of power.

Secular props

Kavita Karkare (widow of former ATS chief Hemant Karkare) is the latest to be propped up by our 'secular' media to drum up 'humanitarian' support for 'Mumbai's Butcher'. In an interview to NDTV, mrs. Karkare says -
'Initially, even I was angry, but now I think I am overcoming that anger. Because, every time anger and violence will not help solve this problem (of terrorism),'..
This sounds eerily similar to the secularspeak adopted by the editors of the same media house. Similar, if not exact, words were heard in television debates held after the Mumbai carnage in Nov 2008. Perhaps that is what we hear on television rather than her own voice.
It indeed is curious as to how the flag bearers of 'secularism' gang up supporting elements that ought to be condemned and brought to justice. Every incidence sees a repeat of the 'secular' interests being protected first, rather than the larger interests of the society and the nation. At every such instance the 'secularists' manage to cloud the public intellect with their secularspeak and hijack public discourse with their agenda. The Kashmir issue, the Amarnath land row, Babri Masjid, Gujarat, Kandahar, Islamic terror, Mumbai carnage etc. are all being undermined by bleeding hearts, not allowing an honest discussion, sincere and hard look at the reality facing us today or call spade a spade.
The Mumbai attack of Nov 2008 was an opportunity for the usual suspects -- and also the non-performers in the government -- to redeem themselves, yet what we have been seeing is the same 'secular' agenda being pushed again. And now attempts are underway to 'defend' Ajmal Kasab's 'Human Rights'.
While the 'secularists' will be what they are, the other side of the divide has also failed to effectively frame their argument. They continue to fail in calling the left and 'secular' bluff. They have failed to effectively and convincingly argue their point. Instead the 'oppressed minority' theory continues to be in vogue. In spite of actually being the victims and even with the facts on their side, they fail to articulate themselves. They fall for the 'secular' hit and run trap and expend all their energies on proving themselves innocent. In these 5-6 weeks since the Mumbai carnage, we haven't heard anyone make coherent, well articulated argument putting things in the right perspective. The 'secular' charade continues.

Overground jihadis

Abdul Rahman Antulay is sceptical of the circumstances under which Hemant Karkare died. It has been a day since he expressed his concern and is still unapologetic. On the contrary he claims his remarks have indeed helped the UPA government, which is a give away of the Congress's intentions. And he sat smiling when the opposition benches in the Lok Sabha demanded his removal. It did not seem to bother him that Karkare was accompanied by Ashok Kamte, Vijay Salaskar and others when they were all gunned down by the terrorists.
Public, political and intellectual discourse have denigrated to levels unimaginable. It is "liberal progressive" to smell a rat in everything. It is the same looney liberalism that questions singing of the National Anthem and our National Song. It has become unfashionable, indeed loathsome, to be seen as a nationalist. Talks of sedition, justification of jihadis have come to be celebrated in our "liberal" media. What ought to be a discussion in the national interest and security is reduced to propagating the "minority oppression" myth. Even such important national matters as security are trumped by the "concern for minority" argument.
The proposed anti-terror bill and the National Investigating Agency (NIA) have been opposed by the usual overground jihadis claiming they will be used against the minorities. And Antulay is indeed the minority affairs minister. It seems his understanding of the ministry's job is different. Apparently he seems to think, it is his bounden duty to protect jihadi Muslims. He gives us enough indication on what the government intends to used the NIA for. In this report he claims, (quote from the report) "On Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan's statement that there was no need to hold an inquiry into his demand, Antulay said he had no problem with it because now the matter could be dealt with by the proposed National Investigating Agency (NIA), a federal agency". The matter here is Karkare's killing by the jihadis. So rather than an unprecedented terror attack galvanising the political class in acting expeditiously to secure our citizens, it has become an occasion to "protect" the minorities and tools and laws devised to "counter" terror will now be used to "investigate" the supposed oppression of the minorities. With such leaders, do we even need jihadi's the bring this nation down?
Overground jihadis have infiltrated everything, the media, the parliament etc. And thay are not in short supply either. So when anyone points to Pakistani flags being hoisted on Indian soil or point to Pakistani jihadis, we are told to be "mature" and "understand" their "grievances". Never mind that such actions are against our constitution and patently anti-national.
Now as the din over the Mumbai massacre has begun to subside, the usual looney liberals have begun their "secular" agenda. Groundwork has begun to bail out Ajmal Kasab, the lone jihadi caught alive in Mumbai. There are stories of his beloved parents in Pakistan, his pictures from the hospital, suggestions of the sufferings he apparently underwent. Within a few days the same "enough is enough" actors will be raising their pitch in defense of the "poor oppressed misguided" Ajmal, conveniently forgetting that he set his foot on our soil to massacre innocent Indians and carry out the jihadi agenda. Also, there is already talk of seeking a "fair" trail for Ajmal. This talk presumes that Ajmal will not get a fair trial in India. A treasonous argument. "Fair", in this case, could only mean one thing, acquittal.
When the entire world has now realised Pakistan's role in terrorism and its support of global jihad, we have our "intellectuals" telling us they are "oppressed" and "misguided" souls. What is more baffling is that rather than "guide" the "misguided", it is the majority Indians that get preached! Which is the same as asking the prey to stay still while the predator adjusts him aim.
It is also the same looney liberals that have ended the fear of consequences amongst the wrong doers. In seeking to justify every terrorists actions against our nation, they have only emboldened them further. The liberals never for once stop to think the harm they are causing to the nation and the disservice they are doing. Reams of papers and hours of programs are produced, complete with "expert" opinions that justify everything from sedition to terrorism. And there is no second thought given to the means applied in achieving this goal. Many a myth goes unchallenged, stories pass for facts, numbers are twisted to suit their "secular" interpretation, inconvenient facts, blatant abuse of the laws are completely ignored.
Unless this "secular" noise is filtered and drowned out, there can be no clear, constructive discussion on the national interest. The overground jihadis must be defeated first. That is the first step towards tacking terrorism.

Spontaneous victim theory

Radical muslims, despite history telling us otherwise, could never be aggressors. They can only be victims. That's the "secular" belief. And to prove this the "secularists" can postulate any number of convenient theories obfuscating facts suggesting otherwise. And the human rights business runs solely on this principle. The moment you prove this victimisation false, they will all be out of a job the very next moment. Hence the zealous need on the "secularists" and "human rights" activists part to perpetuate this mythical victimhood amongst the muslims. And this eagerness to paint all Hindus evil leads them to apply unethical means in manufacturing "truth", of which Teesta Setalvad in the beau idéal.
Her attempt at propping up Zaheera Sheikh, under duress, to perpetuate falsehood is one such example. And here, (excerpts later) there's more embarrassment for the "secularists". When it comes to applying questionable means in attaining one's goal, except physical violence, there is hardly any difference between the terrorists and the "secularists". Is it any surprise then that their heart bleeds for the terrorists?
Excerpts begin [Emphasis added] -
In a shocking revelation, six victims of the 2002 Naroda Gam riots have told the Special Investigation Team (SIT) that their statements submitted at several places in connection with the case were fabricated and recorded without their knowledge.
Wondering why or how could the "victims" not have any knowledge of what they were alleging? Here's why -
Tell SIT that human rights groups, relief camp authorities made them sign statements written in English, which they could not understand
And here's another Zaheera -
In her deposition before the SIT in February this year, victim Madina Pathan (25) retracted from her statement in the affidavit filed before the Supreme Court in 2003 and told the SIT that no one had raped her that day.

More lip service

Manmohan Singh has apologised to the nation over the Mumbai attacks. However, he owes much more than that. He, along with Sonia, has blood on his hands. Sitting over specific intelligence inputs is akin to complicity in murder.
That it took Manmohan Singh this long to realise his folly is a sorry indication of his clouded intellect. This realisation ought to have dawned on him back in Aug. 2004 (soon after he took over as our PM) when a bomb went off in Assam (ironically represented by him in the Rajya Sabha) killing innocent school children. That should have been the incident to startle Singh from his slumber and jolt him in action. Since then, there have been at least a dozen major terror attacks on our soil and yet it is now, after about 3000 lives have been lost, he realises his mistake. Unconvincing. So much for his concern for the aam aadmi!
There is one critical realisation that has not yet dawned on Singh. It is actions that define a leader, not words. Throughout his tenure, all that Singh has ever delivered is sermons to the nation. What baffles one and all is when Singh knew so much on what the government should be doing, why has there been no action on his part. L K Advani, in the Lok Sabha, rightly asked the question, "Are you here to govern or tender advice?". And Arun Shourie, in the Rajya Sabha, has made a compelling argument indicting the ruling dispensation of criminal apathy are dereliction of duty.
Perhaps no other Prime Minister has hurt our national interest so much as Manmohan Singh. He has been nothing short of a monumental letdown.
The people of the nation are angry precisely because of the UPA's failure to act on any significant matter. The current outpour is only a culmination of over 4 years of frustration. Mere words or assurances will no longer placate the them, action, rather concrete and decisive action in the nation's interest will. The opposition too has vowed its complete support to steps in this regard. It is questionable if the PM will shun partisanship and appeasement to stand up and deliver for the nation.

Shocking beyond words

What kind of a government ignores threats to its own citizens and sovereignty? The callous apathy of sitting on specific intelligence inputs without doing anything about them is unpardonable. This pioneer news report makes the governments negligence clear.
Some excerpts -
Two days before the terrorists struck at Mumbai, the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) had intercepted this chilling message: Char halal ho gaye jenab (four have been killed).” Already in possession of information about a possible attack on Mumbai by sea route, the RAW passed on this message to the Coast Guard to increase vigilance along the coast. The matter ended there. No one cared to react. Two days later, the terror boat made a safe landing at the Cuffe Parade port in Mumbai coast.
And here is specific intelligence input [Emphasis added] -
This is just one piece of input that went abegging. The terrorists were in constant touch with their ‘masters’ across the border and several of their messages were intercepted by the Indian intelligence, who passed them on to both the Centre and the Maharashtra Government. There were similar other specific inputs which intelligence officials processed and warned of an imminent attack on Mumbai. Some warnings specifically mentioned Taj and Oberoi hotels as possible targets. For once, it would be unfair to lay the blame at the door of RAW, Intelligence Bureau or National Security Adviser.
But where is accountability? Resignations are nothing but escape routes for politicians. The UPA and the Maharashtra government ought to be tried in court for negligence and dereliction of duty. And sadly, none of the mainstream "secular" news media and the self proclaimed conscience keepers of the nation hold the politicians accountable. All we ever hear from them is pontification.
The exemplary Arun Shourie too has completely exposed the UPA's callous apathy and failures to carry out its duties. Please read it in its entirety. With leaders like the UPA constituents who needs enemies.

Indian security forces were not hasty

Isreali intelligence personnel seem to believe that Indian security personnel acted in haste in storming to flush the Jihadis out in Mumbai. While this may have been true elsewhere that was facing such a situation for the first time, it is not true in India's case. India has seen decades of Jihad waged on its soil by Rabid Islamists. And we have all the intelligence and evidence one could have against Pakistan. In fact, we probably have more than enough evidence that conclusively connects Pakistan with all the terror unleashed in India. Our political leadership has been inept in using it to secure India's interests. And that is the sad part.
